DM (David M) Daniel is a queer and complicated human being, currently seeking his way as a wanderer; wandering writer, wandering school teacher, wandering wizard.  He travels from place to place disguised as a poorly dressed homosexual.  He hopes to make his fortune in the grand traditions of Leonardo Da Vinci and Mozart: pursuing his passions at the expense of those too rich to notice, and boasting just enough excitement and mischief in his biography to make grade schools nervous about including him in textbooks (but with sufficient genius to force them to anyway).

From an early age DM displayed an affinity for words, and once brought a red winged rabbit to life using nothing more than construction paper and his second-grade prose (unconfirmed).  Since then he has worked to hone his craft through a variety of challenges including resume writing for Texas Witches, lyric composition with New Orleans Voduns, and narrative structuring with Denver Perkins Patrons.

Most recently he has taken on the most arcane of all writings: Tweet-ing.

graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a dual Bachelors in Rhetoric & Writing, and English Literature, DM is a firm believer that words are the locks which bind us and the keys which free us, and he strives to be more often a key than a lock.  As an accomplished rhetorician he has used his linguistic skills in the pursuit of social justice, peaceful reconciliation, and productive public discourse wherever possible.  He also goes on Facebook rants occasionally, and regrets little of what he says.

Currently DM is seeking representation for the launch of a literary career focused on courageous and high-quality story telling in the middle-grade and young-adult genres, with an initial and enduring focus on providing much-needed representation for LGBTQ youth in these mediums.  Information concerning the draft of his debut novel can be found here.  Interested agents and publishing professionals can use the contact form to request a copy of the full manuscript.
